Apologies

Sorry about the last post. I know it's kinda sad and depressing. I almost took it off, but I was gone shortly after I finished it, and Beth talked me into leaving it up. Courtney, sorry if it made you sad. Just think about all the people you've met since you moved out here. When I'd been here for 4 months, I knew like 3 people outside of work. That was the really tough time. It wasn't until I'd been here for about 9 months thatI started to have friends I could call and hang out with. This post should be a happier post. :)

Last night, I had my weekly swing dance class. It was really fun. We didn't really learn that much in class, and I already know what we're going to learn next week, but after that, it should all be new material. :) Dustin and I went to dinner/drinks with a couple of girls from class for the hour between when our class ends and the dance starts. I took the metro down there since I couldn't get out to the archery range because of traffic. So I was able to have a couple drinks with everybody. After we had dinner, we went back to dance. Dustin and I tried to teach Gina and Jen some new moves. They picked it up pretty well. They kept on getting stuck with weird/creepy guys though. I tried to rescue them. It worked sometimes. They were always grateful. :) I had to pretend to be Gina's boyfriend a couple times. That was interesting.... lol I got to dance a lot more this week than last week. Mostly, I was dancing with Jen and Gina, but I got to dance with Courtney a couple times, and this other girl who used to compete in college. I danced with her before. She's fun, but she doesn't come very often.

I never really posted about my weekend. It was a little boring, but there's a few things that are post worthy. :) Friday, I took my bike almost completely apart, cleaned it, and put it back together. I got my new brake/shift levers installed. They're just okay. It will take me a while to get used to them. The only thing I wasn't able to clean that I wanted to were the axle bearings. I'll have to get them some other time.

Saturday was the Town of Potomac's Centennial Celebration. DCMC ran all the kids games. I got to run Plinko! It was fun. I don't have any pictures, sorry. I was so busy giving kids candy, that I didn't even have time to get a drink for like an hour and a half. The weather was perfect! I got a little sun. :) After we had lunch, I went to the archery range and shot. I had a lesson with my coach, and we had a very productive lesson. :) When I was almost home, Hank called me and asked if I wanted to come over for dinner and a movie, so I drove down there and hung out with him and Jamie. It was lots of fun. It had been a long time since I'd been able to hang out with them.

Sunday was church, and then the archery range again. Then back to Alexandria for ultimate frisbee. That was fun. I got there late because I had to shoot, so I only got to play for about an hour and a half. After that, I went for a 15 mile bike ride. I was having a lot of trouble keeping the pedals going after 14.5 miles. It was fun though. I hadn't ridden by myself for a while. It's always nice to go at your own pace. After I finished riding, I stopped by Dustin's for dinner. We had fettuccine. Dustin makes some yummy fettuccine. :)

It was a fun weekend, but Monday was hard. I got up at 5:30, and at 5:35, I wanted to take a nap. :)
