First Half

The first half of nationals is over. I ended up with an 1158. I suppose that's about average for me, but it's hard to say because I haven't really scores that much outside, and we've been improving my form. I'd really like to see it more in the upper 1100's, but I guess it's okay. There was a lot of wind. I'm sure that had something to do with it. My first end at thirty meters today was beautiful. It was an X, X, 10. I have a picture, buy i can't post it from my iphone. I'll try to remember to post it when i get back to a normal computer. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep it up.

My old coach, Tom, drove out here today. He got here when we had about 4 or 5 ends left. I'm really glad he was able to make it out. Dad and I took him to dinner at Red Robin. It's been fun hanging out with him.

Dad and I have been staying in a cabin in a campground about 15 minutes fromthe venue. It's been a good arrangement. There's no a/c, but there's a ceiling fan, and it's Colorado, so it's not that hot anyways.

Dad and I went to this really big house, miramar castle, yesterday. It was 14,000 sf. It was neat, but they had too much crap in it. They should take lessons from Mount Vernon and rotate things through. I didn't take any pictures because it wasn't that spectacular, and they didn't do a very authentic restoration. It seemed like the details got lost or they couldn't afford to do it right. Even so, it was worth the six dollar admission.

That's about all that's been going on. Tomorrow, I'm shooting on the afternoon again. It's the long distances, so I'll shoot 90 and 70 meters. Hopefully it won't be too windy.
